Philippines Activation

WorldRemit is an online money transfer service that helps migrants from developing countries working in developed countries to send money to friends and family through its mobile app and web service.

We have been working with the company since 2015 as a full time marketing agency. Our job is to help them with all their marketing activation in UK, Nordic, Germany and Uganda.

WorldRemit (UK) activations

CHALLENGE

WorldRemit wanted to start offline campaign to target Filipino communities in the UK and Nordic. The niche audiences have certain behaviours as well as live in various parts of the country, especially for Filipino community there is no particular location where the community is dense unlike some other ethnic communities, which makes targeting quite difficult.

  • Our task was to find effective ways to raise their awareness about the trustworthy money transfer service among the target audience

  • The campaign was launched through various community activities  in Norway, Denmark, Germany and Sweden.Some of the activities included:
    • Sponsor various events
    • Road shows and street activations
    • Social clubs: Sponsoring several social events including churches  in the Nordic African community, such as Light House in Copenhagen……(to list a few more in Stockholm)
    • Cultural Groups: Africans tend to socialize according to countries, and in their country community they socialize according to their tribes. We targeted various cultural activities to reach out to the targeted communities.

We are proud to say that we have been working with WorldRemit since 2015 as an exclusive consultant responsible for market activations in UK, Uganda and Europe. This also includes partnership acquisitions in Tanzania and Uganda.
