Pockit is an English financial technology company offering pre-paid spending cards, current accounts, and a range of other pseudo-bank financial services. The mobile-first service aims to make money simple for low-income ‘unbanked’ customers, with products and services tailored specifically for them.

CHALLENGE

The challenge was to reach out to the financially excluded Africans in the UK, who rely on cash in the absence of bank accounts. The Promota with its partners (MartinaMohMarketing) were contracted for the maiden introduction of a number of product “refinements” such as  account numbers and sort codes, meaning that its accounts “now have all the attributes of an online current account”.

  • First a meeting was held and attended by the client and the agency to understand the main objective of the business. Based on this we developed the brand positioning, along with new promotional  communications.
